Build a flower that spins in the sun! The Thames & Kosmos SolarFlower in Purple Majestic is a kinetic sculpture with moving petals, powered by a solar panel. As kids build it, they learn how motors and planetary gears work and how solar cells turn sunlight into electricity. Once finished, a single motor spins all the petals in sync for a mesmerizing display on a sunny windowsill or desk.

Why We Love It

  • Build a solar-powered spinning flower
  • Learn about motors, planetary gears and solar cells
  • All petals rotate together from a single motor
  • A beautiful finished display piece

Good to Know

  • Recommended for ages 8 and up
  • 114 pieces
  • Box measures 7.3 x 11 x 3.5 in.
